Holy shit lots of new followers. Uh. Hi guys. Submit things, mmkay?
Moe/Sexy Raphael has become something of a running joke between my girlfriend and I, and as a consequence I made her this for valentine’s day this year, although what he’s singing actually came from something a past survey of western art professor said in class.
I mentioned some time ago that I would be interested in posting my own travel photographs here, and people responded positively so that so do expect this every so often. I took a really intense trip to Rome very recently with a class for two weeks, so that will be my major image-mine for a while.
This is a foundation of Piazza Navona excavated by Mussolini in an attempt to emphasize Rome’s imperial past. The reason why Piazza Navona is shaped the way it is is because it was originally the stadium of Domitian, which during the middle ages became housing for whoever could get in and grab a spot. It’s one of the very few open spaces to survive and REMAIN an open space over time. SO what we’re looking at here is part of the stadium of Domitian in Rome.
